Meshing of skin grafts is now accepted as a means of conserving donor site tissue in cases of extensive skin loss. Meshing of skin grafts can permit earlier wound coverage. Meshed grafts have the advantages of providing more efficient wound drainage compared to that of unmeshed grafts.
